In a music production using AI tools, the team needs to know which parts came from people, recordings, and systems. This record helps to verify credits, permissions, and the public description of the work.

Document the contributions

Record who wrote, interpreted, produced, and edited the material, as well as the tools used. Save working versions that allow you to identify the contributions.

Credits should not attribute participation to an artist who did not collaborate. An aesthetic reference in the creative process does not transform the person cited into the author or performer of the piece.

Check the license for the tool and materials.

Before using a generated file in a campaign, consult the terms applicable to the account used and the input materials. The fact that a system produces a file does not automatically resolve the permissions of the materials used.

When there is voice, image, or recording of another person, the team must verify the specific usage authorizations. This review is especially important when the piece could be understood as a genuine participation by an artist.

Differentiate between editing and synthetic representation.

Audio correction and file organization play a different role than creating a performance that looks like it was recorded by someone else. The communication must consider what the audience might interpret as real.

YouTube maintains disclosure rules for significantly altered or synthetic content that appears realistic. Consult the guidance of the target platform, as features and requirements are not identical across all services.

Explain the process when it is relevant.

A helpful description explains the tool's role and human involvement without turning the credit into a promotional piece. Avoid authorship claims that production documentation does not support.

For brands, final approval must consider both the file and how it is presented. Title, caption, and credits can create an interpretation different from that intended in production.
